i bet you've all heard by now, via facebook and my big mouth, about all the great weather we've been experiencing in ohio. this is pretty typical of our afternoon these days. we love to drive around top down! i usually avoid the freeway, hadley is less fond of the whoosh at 70 mph. but in a time crunch to get joseph for lunch the other day, we did it. turns out, she can even fall asleep in the crazy breeze now. she was born to be a top down kinda girl.
there is a nice park not too far from our house, called strawberry acres or something. our first time visiting, it was very snowy, and hadley got her first eye bonk. this time we are proud to report, no huge facial bruises, no snow. just sun and smiles. also interesting...hadley is a pretty natural pumper on the swings. how did she pick that up?
we made a trip to target the other day for chalk and bubbles. i don't know if you can tell by just the photos,(haha) but hadley really enjoyed herself. it was pretty super fun. i feel like hadley is turning into little alice. i went through more chalk and bubbles than the average child did, i am sure of it. hadley's got a good, strong start now. i see a big future with her outdoor toys. next stop, huge bouncy rubber ball and a tiny pink trike. well, probably for her 2nd birthday coming up in june.
this week, hadley and i had the huge pleasure of going to the toledo zoo with a couple friends we met through a toledo play group we found. they each have little girls similar in age to hadley, and have enjoyed playing together. not pictured is max, a preschooler brother to maddy the bumble bee below. he's a busy guy.
hadley's two friends are maddy and genevieve, and their moms are kathleen and lilly, respectively. we are enjoying getting to know them all. they've been so nice to us, and we can't wait to get to know more moms and kids in the group. i am especially glad hadley will have at least two friends to invite to her next birthday party.
