so i finally got these two down for a later afternoon nap. i knew hadley couldn't make it until bedtime, she was getting nasty cranky, and i wasn't about to let her ruin the next several hours. once joseph snuggled up, hadley calmed down and resigned to the sleepiness. thank goodness.
thank goodness, because i've got some $h!t to get done around here! that rumor about the 3's being worse than the 2's is so true, and our house is really paying for it. hadley is having some terrible days, and sometimes, the best way for hadley and me to cope, it get the heck out of the house:)
so, sorry, joseph for the filth.
unfortunately, this has been an extra rough week for hadley, and she's had a few accidents. this afternoon, i am taking the opportunity to clean the carpets in the "problem areas" where i've only been able to spot clean over the last several days.
so, this is what i tackled first. yay!! i am feeling better already.
but holy moly, the rest of this place needs some work.
the way i see it, 50% of the problem is NOT ENOUGH SPACE!!!, and the other 50% is we are both hoarding boxes, AND starting to pack. we are hoping to rent a house in the area in the near future, so i am getting prepared, so we are not rushing around last minute. Especially considering we've got a three day camping trip and a week of vacation (where we were go see the dodgers play in two cities!!) coming up, and i don't want that to delay our move if we actually work out our lease soon.
i was thinking i'd share the top ten reasons, in no particular order, why we can't wait to leave this teeny weeny apartment. this is my first reason!
we've got just a small, um, 4X8 foot deck, maybe? and first of all, we have a good sized grill. that we like to use. every day. sometimes twice a day. three, if you count the bananas we grill for dessert. (yumm, you will here more about our grilling adventures soon!!. be sure not to miss it!)
then second of all...
well, we were dying to plant a garden, and just couldn't wait any longer this spring. so, we are the proud, VERY PROUD parents of like a dozen tomato plants, and a dozen various pepper plants, a huge green bean plant, some struggling herbs and one flower (a gift from a friend!)
yes, i am really proud of our green beans. i could eat fresh green beans every night. if only we'd been growing our own zucchini and squash this season. oh, wait. that's right. we have a 4X8 deck:)but oh, these green beans are so pretty. if you haven't seen a beautiful flowering green bean plant, you are missing out. just for the looks of it, you should throw it out on your deck to cheer it up. so pretty.
anyway, that's what is going on here today. i hope your weekend is as sunny and pleasant as our is.
xoxo, al
