word on the street here in toledo was to expect snow monday evening. from my experience, though, i believe it when i see it. the hourly forecast predicted up to one inch of snow between 6 and 11pm. late that afternoon, that changed to 9-11pm. so, i had my doubts.
i had plans to spend the evening cooking with my friend marcy at her house, so when joseph arrived home to stay with little lady, this lazy pregnant chick slipped on her flip flops and hit the road.
brrr. it was slushy stuff coming down on my way to the grocery store, and i regretted leaving off a warmer jacket. on my way OUT of the store, there was no denying it. snow. in flip flops.
and it did probably make an inch. enough to get a nice layer on the grass and make many children happy as could be. in fact, it's still here in places two days later, wherever the sun hasn't melted it. it certainly didn't melt because it's been warm.
so, i guess this oregonian better put those flip flops away and embrace another midwest winter.
happy wednesday!
