three weeks in

we've officially made it through three weeks of preschool 2. it's pretty anticlimactic, honestly. i feel like a normal, real, tired, worn out mom. oh my gosh, never in my life have i lived for fridays.

you see, i grew up with a nurse mom, and the weekend was often days long, and during the week. then, as an adult, i also found myself working 12 hour shifts in the hospital, with days off whenever as well!

then when we moved to ohio, and i quit my job, hadley and i kinda did the same thing every day. joseph worked every other saturday, so we didn't have a set schedule, monday through friday. even last year, when hadley started presschool, she was in three days a week. and so just three days a week we had to be presentable early in the day.

so. it's been a shocker for us. we are not early morning people. not a single one of us. we stay up late, and sleep to the very last minute in the morning. i'm hoping this will get easier for us. it better. or it's going to be a very long 18 years.

anyway, hadley is loving school, and asks to go back every afternoon. she wishes she were an all day student. i say enjoy this while you can, kid.

then there's CeCe. she's awesome too. the last few weeks, we've spent our mornings together having a blast. or napping. depending on who you ask. we usually come home and enjoy breakfast, a few snuggles and a little peace to get things done around the house. we also enjoy grocery shopping, target shopping, costco shopping, shopping...and once we had coffee with a friend! gosh i forgot how much you can get done when out and about with just a peanut in an infant seat. she's five months, a bunch of pounds and adorable as ever. and if you stayed tuned for a blog in the next couple days, i'll fill you in on all her awesomeness then!

oh, and we were incredibly happy to be reunited with our toledo BFF's, the kellehers, after our long west coast trip. and more on that soon too! (now that i am finally getting in the swing of things back at home!)

xoxo, al
